Voice Actor Tardy Line Policy

Please try to get your lines in on time, we give long leeway for this. If you are unable to for any reason, please email your producer before the deadline and explain the situation. We realize you have lives and will compensate accordingly, just don't drop off the face of the earth. If we have not heard from you by a week after the deadline, we reserve the right to recast. If you feel your emails are not reaching the producer, please post a note on the yahoo group about the situation.

Recording Specs

44100Hz 32-bit mp3

Record in one long file per episode for 0-20 page audios and one long file per scene for 20+ page episodes. This makes noise reduction easier for the post-producer.

Reduce background sound as much as possible. There is a strong chance a director will reject you purely on the lack of microphone quality.

Send a clip with you saying your name as well as a written spelling of your name with any lines. Zip them all together in a folder with your character name and the episode number and series name. I.E. "kirk_startrek_episode3.zip".

Give three takes of each line with different emotion and emphasis on different words. If you wish to add a fourth with more of an ad lib on the line feel free. We also enjoy it if you include a separate file of outtakes, if any, for behind the scenes features. Please give a nice long pause between each take of the line and DO NOT click or move your mouse or squeak your chair while saying a line. Do that in the space in between the lines.

Individual directors and post-producers may have additional requests, please read and hold to them.
