Night At The Ballet: Rodéo

Adapted from the ballet by Alexa Chipman

Sure, the gorgeous ballerinas in pink tutus always seem to get their prince, but what about a cowgirl on a ranch who only wants the head wrangler to notice her? This ballet was originally choreographed by Agnes de Mille for the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo with music composed by Aaron Copland (one of his pieces was used for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine theme). The ballet premiered 16 October, 1942, although this audio drama was adapted based on the San Francisco Ballet recent staging.
